Last year's men's final was won by Villa-Lidköping against Edsbyn - but this time it was revenge for the white-clad team.

No, it's absolutely incredible. It's a childhood dream come true. To be able to do it with this club - it's absolutely incredible. It's impossible to put into words, says Bysell Söderkvist.

The first half saw a flurry of goals - and after 13 minutes the score was 3–0 to Edsbyn.

Shortly after, coach and bandy legend Pelle Fosshaug called a timeout for Villa-Lidköping.

But it had the opposite effect - and before the half-time break it was 4–0 to Edsbyn.

In the second half, Villa-Lidköping got off to a great start with a goal, but it wasn't enough for the reigning Swedish champions.

Hat-trick hero Bysell Söderkvist was never worried - despite Villa scoring a quick goal at the start of the second half.

No, damn it, after 3–0 I was never worried.

The fans stormed the pitch

After the final whistle, Edsbyn's supporters stormed the pitch to celebrate with the champions.

We have Sweden's best supporters, too - and when they're there, we always play at home, says Bysell Söderkvist with a shout.

Now Edsbyn has won its 14th Swedish Championship title - its previous win was in 2022 against Villa-Lidköping.

“A fucking trip”

Bysell Söderkvist is aiming for gold again next season.

Of course. That's what we're aiming for. It's a hell of a journey to do this. But yes, we're showing that it's also possible to do it the long way.

Both Albin Bysell Söderkvist and Oscar Wikblad scored hat tricks for Edsbyn.

Earlier on Saturday, Villa-Lidköping lost the women's Swedish bandy championship final in Västerås, 2–6 to Sandviken.
