Buffalo has been hard to beat in the NHL, with a 13-game winning streak before the meeting with Anaheim.
The team looked to be heading for two points again last night - before Finnish Mikael Granlund tied the game at 5–5 with a pass from Leo Carlsson in the final minutes. Anaheim then decided the game in overtime, 6–5, on a goal by Troy Terry.
Leo Carlsson finished with two points in the match. Rasmus Dahlin also had two points for Buffalo, and teammate Noah Östlund had one point, all assists.
Correction: An earlier version said teams can get three points in the NHL - the correct maximum is two points per game.
