+ First window closed

Gold members of the Swedish Football Association's "Supporter Club" could apply for Swedish tickets from March 11–22. They were notified by March 25 whether they had received tickets.

"We received information about this a month ago about how everything would work, since we qualified late. We haven't experienced this before, but it has usually happened in November or December," says the association's ticket manager Christoffer Lund.

+ A second chance

Now gold members once again have the chance to apply to see Sweden's matches. The "Supporter Club" will open ticket applications on Wednesday.

The application period is April 1–8. The award will be made on April 9. The award will be made based on both average points and a lottery after the application period has closed.

After the first window, approximately 1,000–1,500 tickets were applied for per group-stage match.

+ FIFA sales period

After the sales period for the Swedish ticket quota, FIFA will apply dynamic pricing – which means that prices may rise or fall depending on demand.

FIFA will open up their final sales period where anyone can buy. By then the teams that qualified via the playoffs will have had time to make their purchases - and then the rest will be released to the public, Christoffer Lund previously told TT.

+ Four categories

New for this championship is that the tickets are divided into four categories – and the difference is about location and price level – with category 1 being the most expensive and category 4 being the cheapest.

What is different is the extra category (4), which costs $60 and which FIFA offered to us as a federation to buy and distribute among our supporters so that there would be a cheaper alternative, says Lund.

+ Flight tickets and accommodation

A flight ticket from Arlanda to Houston, USA – where Sweden is playing against the Netherlands – costs between 6,000–12,000 SEK. For accommodation, prices vary depending on the standard, but expect at least 3,000 SEK per night for two people.

From Arlanda to Monterrey, you can expect a flight ticket of around 17,000 SEK with a stopover. To then continue towards Houston and from there to Dallas, a ticket costs around 3,000 SEK each. A return trip from Dallas to Arlanda costs around 10,000 SEK.

+ Package trip

Björk & Boström Sportresor is one of the companies that sells package tours to the World Cup. Primarily to Sweden's group stage matches in Houston and Dallas – but if there is great interest in the opening match against Tunisia in Monterrey, Mexico, that match may also be included.

"I have requested 50 airline seats and 50 tickets for the first two matches (against the Netherlands and Japan). But as I said, it is very new for us and we are receiving expressions of interest all the time, so it is not impossible that the number will increase," says Johan Lindholm, CEO of Björk & Boström Sportresor.

"You will be gone for eight days, that is June 18 to 26," says Lindholm.

The package includes flights, accommodation and match tickets.
