24 of those arrested are suspected of having "sent to the enemy the coordinates of military installations, police and defense forces, as well as positions of security guards and military equipment in Hamadan province," according to Iran's Foreign Ministry.

Weapons and Starlink devices, which provide satellite-based internet access, have been seized in the operations.

Since the start of the war, the regime in Tehran has regularly arrested people accused of being mercenaries or spies on behalf of Israel or the United States.

On Tuesday, state-controlled Iranian media also reported that more than 90 people linked to the London-based opposition group Iran International had been arrested.

Over 460 people have also been arrested for "destabilizing" online activity, according to state media.
