According to the Israeli military, these are "attacks targeting the Iranian terrorist regime's infrastructure in the heart of Tehran," which they say hit robot factories.
On Friday afternoon, the Israeli military announced that it had struck both the heavy water facility in Khondab, known as Arak, and a uranium enrichment facility in central Iran.
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps, for its part, said several missile and drone attacks were carried out on Thursday against sites in Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kuwait, the state-controlled Fars newspaper reported. A US-linked military facility in Bahrain was also reportedly attacked.
At a hotel?
Iran warns that hotels in the Middle East that house American soldiers may be attacked, AFP reports.
"Should we just stand by and watch as the Americans attack us?" military spokesman Abolfazl Shekarchi said on state television on Thursday.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has accused the US military of effectively using civilians in countries across the Persian Gulf as human shields. According to him, US soldiers have been streaming from military bases in the region and checking into hotels.
The warning came around the same time that President Donald Trump announced he was postponing planned US attacks on Iran's energy infrastructure for 10 days, citing talks with Iran that were going "very well."
The deadline, aimed at forcing Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz, which is usually heavily trafficked by oil tankers, has also been pushed back in the past. According to Trump, the current reprieve is being given at the "request of the Iranian government" - but The Wall Street Journal reports that no such request has been made by Iran, citing intermediary sources.
More soldiers
There are more disagreements about the Strait of Hormuz.
The other day, Trump announced that eight oil tankers had been allowed to pass through as a "gift" from Iran. But on Friday, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard said that the strait was closed to shipping to and from "hostile ports" and that three ships had been forced to turn back.
Once Trump's deadline expires, he wants Iran to respond to the US's 15-point peace plan.
The Iran War began when Israel and the United States attacked Iran on February 28. Iran's counterattacks quickly gave rise to a spiral of violence around the Persian Gulf.
