A large leak occurred in the main water pipe in Varberg on Tuesday afternoon, and many people had no water from their taps on Wednesday.
Varberg Municipality activated its emergency water plan, and tanker trucks were deployed to locations where the public could collect water. Several schools also closed and sent their students home.
Water production has now resumed, but residents are urged to conserve water and boil any water used for drinking or cooking for several days to come.
