The police received a report after a witness saw masked people in Botkyrka, south of Stockholm, assaulting and forcing a man into a car.
The witness said the man was shirtless, had his hands tied and wore a hood over his head. A description was provided of the car as it left the scene.
After a 90-minute operation, during which the police searched for the vehicle, reviewed traffic-camera footage and interviewed witnesses in the area, the people were found at a paintball facility.
Those involved say the detention was part of a stag party. After questioning and photographing those involved, the police say a report of assault is being filed.
