On the stock exchange's large-cap index OMXS30, truck manufacturer AB Volvo is down 2.3 percent and heat pump manufacturer Nibe is down 2.9 percent.
Mining group Boliden announced a billion-dollar investment this morning, and the stock initially rose, but ended with a loss of 1.7 percent.
On the other hand, defense group Saab rose 1.5 percent.
The gloomy stock market situation was reflected on most of the leading European stock exchanges and in early trading on Wall Street.
