Last year, Erasure toured to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their debut single "Who Needs Love Like That." But now there will be no more touring, songwriter Vince Clarke tells the newsletter The New Cue, NME writes.

"I don't want to be really old and be on stage," says Vince Clarke, 65, who forms the duo Erasure with Andy Bell, 61.

Clarke, who says he feels more comfortable in the studio than on stage, now makes music with the project Doublespeak.

Erasure had big hits with the songs "Oh L'Amour" and "Sometimes" in Sweden. Before his time in Erasure, Clarke founded the groups Depeche Mode, Yazoo and The Assembly in the 1980s.
