Together with colleague Chris Williams, she worked for just over seven hours installing a modification kit for new solar panels and preparing the station's electrical system, the Swedish Space Agency said in a press release.
The work is an important part of upgrading the space station with next-generation solar panels that will provide more energy for research and operations.
Jessica Meir is commander of Crew-12, which arrived at the ISS in February. Yesterday's spacewalk was Meir's fourth. During her previous trip, she made history when she and Christina Koch conducted the first-ever all-female spacewalk.
