Twelve apartment buildings and as many smaller houses have been hit in Zaporizhia. One man has died and at least 19 people have been injured, according to Governor Ivan Federov.

In the Kyiv area, five people were killed in large-scale Russian attacks overnight Saturday. Several others were also injured, including four critically, according to the capital region's governor, Mykola Kalashnyk. Some 30 locations were hit in the attacks.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated earlier on Saturday that rescue and clean-up operations were underway in the regions of Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Mykolaiv.

“The main target of the Russians was the energy infrastructure of the Kyiv region, but unfortunately ordinary residential buildings, schools and businesses were also hit and damaged,” he wrote on X.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region in southeastern Ukraine, one person was killed in Russian shelling, Reuters reports.

Meanwhile, one person was killed in a Ukrainian attack in the Russian city of Belgorod, according to Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.

According to Ukraine's air defense, Russia sent 430 drones and 68 missiles towards Ukraine during the night. All the missiles and 402 of the drones were shot down.
