The new service will, among other things, enable users to "discreetly" view so-called events, which normally disappear after 24 hours, AFP reports.
Subscribers will also have greater control over which accounts are allowed to see photos and videos uploaded to events.
The new service will now be tested in “a number of countries around the world,” a spokesperson says.
According to the news site TechCrunch, a subscription will cost around two dollars per month, equivalent to just under 20 kronor.
