After the American-Zionist airstrike, at least 16 cargo ships in the cities of Bandar Lengeh and Bandar Kong were completely burned, a local official in southern Hormozgan told the state-run Iranian news agency Tasnim.

Earlier on Friday, Iran launched attacks on Jerusalem and energy facilities around the Persian Gulf, among other targets. A fire broke out at the Kuwaiti Mina al-Ahmadi oil refinery after a second drone attack in as many days, several media outlets reported.

The Israeli military had struck what it said were infrastructure targets in Tehran overnight. Sources told the BBC that several explosions were heard in the Iranian capital.

“Keeping on winning”

The bombing came shortly after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that the war in the Middle East had wiped out the Islamic Republic's ability to enrich uranium or manufacture ballistic missiles, as the conflict enters its fourth week.

"We are winning and Iran is being defeated," Netanyahu said at a press conference.

Fars News Agency reported that Ali Mohammad Naini, a spokesman for Iran's Revolutionary Guard, countered:

"Our robotics industry deserves a perfect rating and there are no worries in this regard, because even during wartime we continue manufacturing," Fars News Agency quoted Naini as saying.

Attacks on several Arab countries

Shortly after his statement was shared by the agency, the Revolutionary Guard announced that Naini had been killed in US and Israeli strikes. Esmail Ahmadi, a senior officer in Iran's Basij militia, has also been confirmed dead by media outlets from both sides.

Saudi Arabia has also reported Iranian drone attacks targeting the country's oil-rich eastern regions. However, the drones have reportedly been shot down.

Bahrain's Interior Ministry says shrapnel from an "Iranian aggression" caused a fire in a warehouse, which was later brought under control with no injuries.

The United Arab Emirates has arrested at least five people in an alleged Iran- and Hezbollah-linked network suspected of trying to infiltrate the country's economy.
