In the capital Washington, D.C., protesters began to gather on Saturday afternoon, Swedish time.
This is the third consecutive time Americans have gathered in protest against the sitting president under the slogan "No kings".
The most recent occasion was in October last year, when around seven million people took to the streets in various parts of the United States.
According to the organization coordinating the demonstrations, more than 3,000 individual gatherings are planned. The main event will be held in Minnesota, where left-leaning Democrat Bernie Sanders will speak and Bruce Springsteen will perform, among others.
In Sweden, the Democratic Party's foreign branch is planning support protests in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö under the adjusted slogan "No dictators".
