If the party gains government influence, MP will push for a larger electric car premium for purchases and greater support for leasing electric cars.
Those with the lowest incomes would receive the greatest support, says spokesperson Daniel Helldén at a press conference with fellow spokesperson Amanda Lind.
An electric car should be able to be leased for around SEK 1,500 a month, according to Helldén.
The electric car premium will apply outside large cities and will be highest for the cheapest cars, up to SEK 60,000 in rural areas. The premium will not cover the most expensive cars.
MP wants to lower the tax on electricity for charging electric cars and pause the so-called power tariffs. From 2027, all electricity grid companies must have them.
