Arvidsson extended the team's lead to 3–0 with a wrist shot in the penultimate minute of the second period.
However, the 32-year-old was not finished; he also set up forward Pavel Zacha, who scored Boston's next goal at the beginning of the final period.
The opposing team then scored their first and only goal, assisted by Swedish player Elias Salomonsson.
The victory was Boston's first after two straight losses.
"I think we were really good offensively tonight, took pucks away from them and made it difficult for their defense. I think that's why we won the game," Arvidsson said after the game, according to nhl.com.
