10.45 police are alerted that a man is allegedly injured by one or more other persons, outdoors on Fristadsgatan in Eskilstuna. The injured man, who is in his 40s, is awake and able to speak and is taken to hospital for examination.

According to initial reports, the man was injured with a bludgeon and the incident is being investigated as aggravated assault. No one is suspected at present.

Police are currently working on the scene, searching for clues and looking for people who may have seen something or been involved in the incident.
